On The Highway

Posted by Alexander

Christopher catching some air in Fredericksburg, Virginia.  Only a few days away from Florida!
As I snack on a chocolate raisin we are driving onward to Florida. I can’t believe how far we've come already. I built this road up to be a long and exhausting trip in my mind. Shockingly enough though, we are only three days away from reaching Fort Lauderdale  and our boat.

Another big fish at the rest stop welcoming us to North Carolina.  "The union's most military friendly state!"  Also the home of Kitty Hawk, where the Wright Brothers first flew.  You can see their plane on the fish.

These long periods of driving have actually been less boring as we go. Apparently it’s a lot more difficult for the driver of the car though. I never imagined that driving was so tiring. It’s certainly more of a rest for us kids than Mom and Dad.

You get a better sense if you imagine this all moving at 120 kph.
We’ve been having trouble finding good radio songs to listen to today. The criteria is a song that’s not overtly religious or scratchy. After going over a few hundred stations we usually have to settle for some 80’s songs. There are a few songs that we seem to keep hearing over and over though. It’s like they’re following us.  I guess top 40 everywhere is more or less the same.

On that creepy note, blog you all later.
